"My name is Antonio Tartaglia and I have been a chef for over 40 years, I graduated from the istituto professionale alberghiero di stato di potenza in 1982. I am from a small town in Italy called Melfi which is situated in the region of Basilicata. In 1984 I moved over to Scotland to continue my career of being a chef. When I first moved over from Italy I worked in L'ariosto, O'sole mio, Caprese and La Rotunda Restaurants in Glasgow until 1989. In 1990 I became the head Chef of the well known La Parmigiana restaurant on Great western road until 1998.
Shortly after I took over La Pulcinella Restaurant with Rocco Martone until 2003. At the end of 2003 I took over La Dolce Vita Restaurant in Wishaw until the end of 2007. In October of 2007 I moved over to Italy for a year with my Family and opened a Restaurant on the riviera adriatica.
We returned from Italy in November 2008 and Opened Da Antonio at 31 Campbell street where we operated for 13 years, and now have recently taken over the restaurant within the Clydesdale Hotel in Hamilton.
